Things To Do in Phoenix

Since it opened in 1959, Phoenix Art Museum has become the largest art museum in the southwestern United States providing access to visual arts and educational programs in Arizona.  

Drawn to Arizona by the beauty of the Sonoran Desert, Frank Lloyd Wright created a provocative and inspiring design for Taliesin West, the great architect’s winter camp and desert laboratory.
 

Papago Park has been home to many different pieces of Phoenix history: it was a reservation for indigenous tribes, a fish hatchery during the Great Depression, a POW camp during World War II, and a VA hospital. Today, the park is home to The Phoenix Zoo, Desert Botanical Garden, golf courses, various museums, baseball fields, lakes, and Sonoran Desert plants and animals. 

Since 1962, the Phoenix Zoo is nestled on 125 acres within beautiful Papago Park, the Zoo is a one-of-a-kind place for adventure, discovery and lots of fun. 
 

Downtown Scottsdale - more commonly known as Old Town Scottsdale - offers boutique shopping featuring souvenirs, jewelry and art with a Southwestern flair, or luxury shopping at one of the country's best malls. 

At more than 16,000 acres, South Mountain Park/Preserve is one of the largest municipally managed parks in the nation and consists of three mountain ranges - the Ma Ha Tauk, Gila and Guadalupe. The park boasts more than 100 miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking. Additionally, the roadways throughout the park are a favorite for bicyclists.  

Located just 20 minutes from downtown Phoenix, Camelback Mountain is one of Phoenix's best hikes and most popular attractions for thousands of visiting hikers each year.

The Desert Botanical Garden has more than 50,000 desert plants on display throughout five thematic trails that illustrate topics such as conservation, desert living, plants and people of the Sonoran Desert, and desert wildflowers.

Castles N' Coasters is an amusement park and family amusement center located in Phoenix, Arizona. The approximately 14-acre park features four outdoor 18-hole miniature golf courses, several rides, and an indoor video game arcade.
