Metal Powder World Congress Seeks Technical Papers
The program committee for the 2020 World Congress on Powder Metallurgy & Particulate Materials (WorldPM2020) has issued a “Call for Papers & Posters” covering the latest developments in powder metallurgy (PM) materials, processes, and applications. Held once every six years in North America, this is only the second time the that the WorldPM2020 Congress will be co-located with the Additive Manufacturing with Powder Metallurgy Conference (AMPM2020) and the International Conference on Tungsten, Refractory & Hardmaterials (Tungsten2020). All three co-located events will be held in Montréal, Canada, June 27–July 1, 2020, at the Montréal Convention Center.
Technical program co-chairmen Blaine Stebick, Phoenix Sintered Metals LLC, and Carl Blais, Laval University, request abstracts covering any aspect of PM and particulate materials technology.
Suggested topics include:
· Design & Modeling of PM Materials, Components & Processes
· Particulate Production
· General Compaction & Forming Processes
· Powder Injection Molding (Metals & Ceramics)
· Pre-Sintering & Sintering
· Secondary Operations
|
· Materials
· Refractory Metals, Carbides & Ceramics
· Advanced Particulate Materials & Processes
· Material Properties
· Test & Evaluation
· Applications
· Management Issues
|
“The WorldPM2020 Congress brings together the top talent in the metal powder world,” stated Carl Blais. “This is a key experience in expanding knowledge of current technological advancements that’s only enhanced by holding the event with AMPM2020 and Tungsten2020.”
The abstract submission deadline is November 15, 2019. Visit WorldPM2020.org for details.
All topics related to metal additive manufacturing should be submitted to AMPM2020.org and tungsten, refractory & hardmaterials topics to Tungsten2020.org.
All three conferences are sponsored by the Metal Powder Industries Federation, the North American trade association representing the powder metallurgy industry, and its affiliate APMI International.
