Obituary

Myron I. Jaffe, FAPMI, better known as Mike, who had made important contributions and was widely recognized for his consulting work in research, process & product development, design, manufacturing, and production, died March 5, 2022.  With over 50 years of dedicated service instructing at the annual MPIF Basic PM Short Course, he was well-recognized as the “man with the popcorn press,” a demonstration press that dramatically illustrates particulate compaction. Mike was a past president of MPIF and the Powder Metallurgy Parts Association.  He received the MPIF Distinguished Service to Powder Metallurgy Award in 1979.
