Metal Additive Manufacturing Conference Program Launches
The leading metal additive (AM) manufacturing conference in North America, Additive Manufacturing with Powder Metallurgy (AMPM2019) has launched its conference programming. Featuring worldwide industry experts presenting on the latest developments in the exciting field of metal AM, the conference will be held at Sheraton Grand, Phoenix, Arizona, June 23–26, 2019. Registration is open at AMPM2019.org.
With the aid of the AMPM Program Committee, AMPM conferences have become known for their technical programming that focuses on the latest innovations while attempting to filter commercial content. Attendees have full access to a 100+ exhibitor trade show held in conjunction with the co-located POWDERMET2019: International Conference on Powder Metallurgy & Particulate Materials.
Last year’s AMPM2018 conference introduced exciting new changes to the event, which will continue this year. Attendees can anticipate:
Additionally, this is the first year that AMPM requires a technical manuscript for all presentations, so attendees can look forward to post-conference technical proceedings.
New Optional Metal Additive Manufacturing Tutorial
Conducted by metal AM industry experts Todd A. Palmer, The Pennsylvania State University, and Joseph T. Strauss, FAPMI, HJE Company, Inc., this half-day tutorial will provide a basis for determining process options, uses, properties, applications, and opportunities for cost-effective metal AM. This course is a must for consumers of metal AM components and organizations that are exploring the opportunities associated with developing their own metal AM facilities. Learn more at AMPM2019.org.
“Metal additive manufacturing has pulled powder metallurgy back into the spotlight,” stated Blaine Stebick, MPIF Technical Board Chairman. “The AMPM conference provides an essential opportunity for the transfer of technology and exposes engineers to further influence of powder metallurgy for design and manufacturing solutions.”
