MIM2025 Concludes in Costa Mesa

MIM2025, the International Conference on Injection Molding of Metals, Ceramics, and Carbides, concluded late last month and was deemed an innovative success! Held in Costa Mesa, California, the specialized conference attracted 100 delegates, representing nearly 60 companies, from 9 countries.

The conference featured “Motivated by the Expert” presentations based on research and development that was ultimately inspired by Prof. Randall German, FAPMI. Rand dedicated his 6-decade career to the advancement of numerous powder-based technologies, including powder injection molding. Twenty tabletop exhibits featured suppliers to the MIM industry. A reception and tour of Arburg, Inc. were included in the conference.

The Metal Injection Molding Association (MIMA) provided grants for 3 students to attend the conference. Not only were the grant recipients given the opportunity to hear cutting-edge presentations, make connections with professionals in the field, and gain exposure to the MIM industry, but each provided a presentation on work at their universities.

This year’s grant recipients included:

  • Aparna Krishna Munjuluri, University of Louisville
  • Álvaro Garcia, Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha
  • Elena de Lamo Ruiz, Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha
