FEV BENCHMARKING TEARDOWN WORKSHOP 

Auburn Hills, Michigan

FEV Vehicle Benchmarking has a long history and deep know-how within powertrain benchmarking covering conventional powertrains, combustion engines (ICE) and transmissions, electrified (EV) drivetrains, and fuel cell (FC) systems. The FEV team will utilize its benchmark studies to help the workshop participants understand the cutting-edge and future powertrain solutions.  During the workshop, FEV will discuss new designs, cost-reduction ideas, and product opportunities. 


Workshop Includes:

Classroom Technology Overview Sessions

 
The Event Includes:

  • Classroom-style sessions studying Battery, Hybrid, ICE, and Fuel Cell powertrain technologies 
  • Hands-on sessions examining the components of Battery, Hybrid, ICE, and Fuel Cell powertrain technologies
  • FEV powertrain technology forecasts 2025 thru 2040, identifying which powertrain technologies will shrink, evolve, and dominate the industry
  • Light-duty and On-highway commercial vehicles (Class 8) will be included

Hands-On Workshop

  • Attendees will be broken into 2-4 groups pending final head count. 
  • Two, 1.5 hour sessions will be held following the respective technology classroom overview sessions.
  • An overview of the displayed technology, identifying current PM parts & parts which potentially can be considered for PM
  • During each session, attendees will have approximately 30 minutes to review parts on their own and ask questions.
  • Parts are tagged with names and numbers which can be used for future follow-up reference with FEV.

Workshop Details

  • The workshop is limited to 50 attendees.  Register early to avoid missing out.
  • No copies of the presentations, reports or materials will be provided as part of the teaching session.  FEV is a benchmarking company,  reports shown are available for purchase from FEV at separate reduced rate charge. 
  • No pictures are permitted during the classroom sessions.
    • Attendees who do not comply with this no photography during classroom sessions will be removed from the event and barred from attending future MPIF/APMI/CPMT sponsored or co-sponsored events.
  • Attendees may take pictures of parts during the workshop / hardware review.

Workshop Cancellation Policy:

Written requests received up to Friday, October 4, 2024, will be subject to a $250 cancellation fee.  Registrants who fail to attend, and have not cancelled as noted above, are liable for the entire registration fee.  MPIF may cancel or postpone this program because of unforeseen circumstances. If a program is cancelled or postponed, MPIF will transfer registration fees to another MPIF event or professional development activity but cannot be held responsible for any other related costs, charges, or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies.
